The markers on your report, explained.

Every biomarker Vector tracks, explained: what each one measures, the unit Australian pathology reports print it in, what can change the result, and which markers are worth reading beside it.

How to read a result

A value only means something against an interval.

Vector places every tracked result against the interval it should be read against, then sorts it into one of three states. The state tells you where to look first when a report has forty numbers on it.

How reference ranges work
HDL Cholesterol
1.8mmol/LHDL Cholesterol: 1.8 mmol/L. Reference interval 1 to 2.5 mmol/L. Inside the interval.
Omega-3 Index
7.0%Omega-3 Index: 7.0 %. Reference interval 4 to 12 %. Inside the interval, worth watching.
Homocysteine
16µmol/LHomocysteine: 16 µmol/L. Reference interval 5 to 15 µmol/L. Outside the interval.
