Legal
Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Vector application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Vector Ventures Holdings Pty Ltd (ACN 698 553 758) ("Vector", "we", "us", "our"), a company incorporated in Australia.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App. The App is intended for use by individuals located in Australia. If you access the App from outside Australia, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with applicable local laws.
3. Description of Service
Vector is a personal wellness and longevity intelligence platform. The Services allow you to upload and parse pathology reports, connect to Apple HealthKit, access computed health metrics and personalised wellness insights, and order pathology panels through our integrated lab referral service.
A paid subscription adds the Vector Profile, a PDF you can export from the App and take to a doctor. Once you export or share that file it is outside the App and outside our control, and you are responsible for who you send it to. It contains your health information and is not a clinical report.
If you enable notifications, the App may send you transactional push notifications, such as when a report you uploaded is ready to review. You can manage or disable notifications at any time in the App (Account → Notifications) or in your device settings. See our Privacy Policy for how the associated device token is handled.
The Services are a general wellness tool. They are not a medical service, clinical diagnostic tool, or substitute for professional healthcare.
4. Not Medical Advice
Reference ranges, biomarker classifications, biological age estimates, and AI-generated insights are derived from published population-level research and are provided for general informational purposes only. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making any health, dietary, supplement, or lifestyle decisions.
5. Account Registration
To use the App you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information, keep your credentials confidential, notify us immediately of any unauthorised use, and accept responsibility for all activity under your account.
6. Health and Biometric Data
6.1 Pathology Reports. By uploading a pathology report, you authorise us to process it to extract biomarker values. We store extracted values, units and collection dates, together with printed report metadata where available (patient name, date of birth and laboratory reference) so you can identify and review the saved record. Most reports are parsed on-device; when a report cannot be read confidently, the original page may be processed by our Australian, zero-retention Gemini service for layout-aware extraction. Website-handoff source files remain in private storage only until the App downloads them and you save the reviewed result, after which they are deleted and an automated sweep retries any transient cleanup failure.
6.2 Apple HealthKit. With your permission, the App reads health data from Apple HealthKit. Raw wearable and device-timezone history remains on your device. Derived numerical metrics and evidence summaries may be transmitted and retained, linked to your account identifier, not to your name or contact details, to compute your wellness scores, generate personalised AI insights, and power your daily briefing. Raw sleep epochs, location history, and timezone identifiers are not retained on our servers.
We will not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing. We will not sell or share HealthKit data with third parties for advertising, data brokers, or any purpose unrelated to providing the App's services.
6.3 Sensitive Information. Health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic). By providing health data, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
6.4 Accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide. The App's outputs are only as reliable as the inputs you supply.
6.5 Operational Records. The App records first-party product events and runtime errors so we can see where it is failing. These carry an account identifier, an event or error identity, and non-identifying properties only — never report content, biomarker values or text you typed — and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting service receives them. The App may also send a de-identified record of a report's structure, carrying printed test names and layout counts but no values or identifiers, so the parser can learn labels it did not recognise. See the Privacy Policy.
7. Lab Referral Service
The App integrates with Eirly to facilitate ordering of pathology panels. When you place an order, the details required to create the referral (your name, email address, date of birth, biological sex, phone number, and postal address) are transmitted to Eirly to process it. The pathology collection and testing services are provided by independent third-party laboratories. Vector acts as a facilitating intermediary only.
Lab-order payments are collected within the App and processed by Stripe. Vector does not store your full card details. See the Privacy Policy for how payment data is handled.
Vector removes the patient referral payload from its order record once a referral is placed or an order is refunded. Deleting your Vector account does not erase a clinical referral or pathology result already held by Eirly or a collecting laboratory, which may be required to retain that record under applicable law. If a paid order has not been confidently placed when you request account deletion, Vector first reconciles it with Eirly and refunds it when confirmed unplaced.
Vector may receive a commission or referral fee in connection with orders placed through the App. This does not affect the price you pay or the quality of the service.
8. Subscriptions and Payments
Certain features may require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are charged through the Apple App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. We do not offer refunds outside of what is required under the Australian Consumer Law and Apple's refund policy.
Deleting your Vector account does not cancel an App Store subscription. Manage or cancel the subscription through Apple before deleting your account if you do not want it to renew.
9. Intellectual Property
All content, software, algorithms, designs, and materials in or relating to the Services are owned by or licensed to Vector Ventures Holdings Pty Ltd. VECTOR™, the V-mark logo, and all other marks are trade marks of Vector Ventures Holdings Pty Ltd. Nothing in these Terms grants you any licence to use our marks without prior written consent.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Services for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
10. User Obligations and Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose, upload false or misleading content, attempt unauthorised access to our systems, interfere with the App or its infrastructure, use automated tools to scrape content, or resell or commercialise any part of the App or its outputs.
11. Third-Party Services
The App relies on Supabase, Google LLC (Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform), Eirly, Stripe, Apple Inc. (HealthKit), Apple Inc. (AdAttributionKit, SKAdNetwork, and AdServices), Singular to provide specific parts of the Services. Their handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy. Separate services you choose to use, such as lab referrals and payment services, may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. To the extent permitted by law, Vector is not responsible for third-party services it does not control.
12. Disclaimer of Warranties
13. Limitation of Liability
Where the ACL implies a guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vector Ventures Holdings Pty Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or any data you provide to the App.
15. Privacy
Your use of the App is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
16. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the App. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Account closure removes your Vector data and revokes your active sessions after securely resolving any paid-but-unplaced lab order and private report file; once those sessions are revoked, a token still cached on a device cannot reach your private report files. De-identified financial, completed-order and aggregate product records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy. On termination, your licence to use the App ceases immediately.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time with notice through the App or by email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes your acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the App and delete your account.
18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and Vector submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria. We encourage informal resolution first; if unsuccessful, either party may refer the matter to mediation or the courts.
19. General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Vector with respect to the App. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver.
