Science and method

A method you can inspect.

How Vector estimates biological age, which reference intervals it publishes and why, and how pathology reports are processed — stated plainly enough to argue with.

The foundation

Published research, adapted for Australian reports.

Vector's blood biomarker layer builds on the Levine et al. (2018) PhenoAge model — a peer-reviewed, widely cited biological age construct — adapted for the units printed on Australian pathology reports and standardised against an age- and sex-matched population so young adults are not systematically flattered.

Every biomarker Vector tracks has a page stating what it measures, its unit, and whether Australia has a harmonised interval for it.
