Chronological age sets the baseline

Chronological age advances with time and is not a health score. It gives Vector a stable baseline for expressing how the modelled estimate sits relative to your age today.

Biological age adds a model view

An estimate of biological age reflects the markers and reference population chosen by the model. Vector uses selected pathology and Apple Health signals to make the direction of that view easier to follow alongside the record.

Vector expresses the difference

Vector calculates biological age minus chronological age and expresses that difference in years. A negative value is an estimate below chronological age; a positive value is above it. The underlying values, dates and data availability remain part of the read.

Follow the direction across repeat reports

Repeated, correctly dated results can show whether the estimate moves with the underlying record. Use the change to inspect what moved, keep clinical context alongside the trend and choose a better question to discuss when needed.
